Been awhile

Wow been awhile since I have posted.

I didn't realize how long, but since my last post was "midterms" and I am about to write finals....

Where are things? I and the rest of my classmates feel a little overwhelmed. What we have to do isn't unachievable, it is just a fair bit of information put on us at the very end that will require work to learn.

Fortunately our schedule will open up over the next week, the week before exams, allowing us to study a fair bit for them.

We start with Technical Calculus on Monday morning, Dec. 11th. I feel pretty good about this actually.

We have a quiz in class on Monday, which I need to do some work on. I sat down a few minutes ago and did some displacement/velocity problems and seem to have a pretty good grasp on them. This makes me happy as they are the most complex of the ones we have to do.

1) Area between curves

2) Motion problems

3) Electrical Problems

I think I am doing well going in. This is the last time before the final I have to destroy Raj and squeak a little higher than him. Ever since I blew that one quiz with an 88% I have maintained the second highest mark in the class. It would be cool to end with the highest mark. If not Raj is a good guy and he worked hard to get it.

We also have a geology and geophysics lab test next week. They seem like they should be pretty straight forward if you know the formulas John told us to know. In geology we get to color, how cool is that, coloring in a test for MARKS! :)

Once those are done we still have to write final exams for them. I should be plenty prepared for them by then though. When it is time to go into battle I will be ready.

In computers we have to put together a visual basic project and give a presentation on it. The project was easy. I suspect ours is among the best in the class. Especially when you take our design document into consideration, ie we have one. Not that everyone dosen't have some sort of design documentation, but they don't have a 30 page document, outlining the project from beginning to end.

In other news the season is playing havoc with my nutrition I haven't totally given up but I have adopted a new strategy to combat my poor nutrition

Monday: Barbell complex, HIIT session

Tuesday: Swim, total sets = 1000m

Wednesday: Barbell complex, HIIT session

Thursday: Swim, total sets = 1000m

Friday: Off

Saturday: Resistance and running for an hour.

Sunday Off

Nutrition: decent during the week, aiming for about 85% clean.

So far I have maintained my weight at 210 or so despite eating like ass a lot of the time.

Shannon and I have put up our Christmas tree as well, infact it has been up for about a week now. We have baked the gingerbread house, but haven't had time to build it. Between work and school we are both swamped and time is at a premium. I am currently using most of my extra time to shop for xmas, and frankly it has been a pretty pathetic attempt at it.

I have no pictures to upload this time, so I will just leave you with this.....
