Networking will be a pretty basic course for me. I found the midterm review and can already pass pretty decently.
Geology so far looks to be interesting. I like the way our new instructor does labs and seems to lecture pretty decently.
Geophysics will be interesting, we have a field trip on Monday to see some 3d Data stuff at one of the big companies
Statistics so far pretty basic stuff, I am sure that will change.

So that leaves Java. Looks pretty decent as well, should be a fairly straightforward class as well.
Pet peeves? Powerpoint used exclusively. I have 2 instructors that rely on Power Point.
Networking. Guy has been around awhile and there is no excuse.
Drilling. She is a brand new instructor using the cool technology. She writes a little at least.
Compare to geology and geophysics? Almost NO power point.
In Geophysics our guy will use over heads and such, but often he projects directly on to the whiteboards so he can make notes on the pictures. Very cool use of technology.
Drilling will be a largely self directed course I think, with some guidance from a rookie teacher that did well in her drilling course.
I am trying out new flash cards. They are spiral bound and come in sets of 50. I am hoping these will be easier to use, even if they are less random. They cost a fair bit more, but I have high hopes.
